What is the NH Employee Phone/Email Directory?
The Phone/Email Directory Search page is a searchable database listing
of topics, departments(agencies), some non-state agencies and personnel working for the
State of New Hampshire and is
provided as a service by the Department of Administrative Services.
What is the source of information for the directory?
Information for state agency employees in the State Employee
section of the directory comes from the state's Government Human Resource
System (GHRS). GHRS is maintained by Administrative Services from information
entered through an online data entry screen by each state agency.
Information for the Topical and Departmental section of the
directory, along with non-state agency
employees listed in the "State Employee" section of the directory
is maintained in a database by Administrative Services, Telecommunications
Section from information submitted by each state agency. All changes
must be submitted to the Telecommunications Section on a standard TSR
form, and must have an approved signature. Agencies can receive assistance
by submitting their questions to TELEWEB@admin.state.nh.us,
or calling the Telecommunications Section at extension 1110. It also helps
to include a copy of the page from the phone book, with changes noted.
This helps to insure that the changes are made correctly.
How often is the information updated in the directory?
The employee information is updated whenever the agency Human Resource
Officer updates the online GHRS data entry screen (TELE).
An extract is created nightly from the information in GHRS. This extract
is then used to populate the directory database.
The topical, departmental and non-state agency
employees information is updated whenever the agency contacts Administrative
Services with changes in their information. The changes are applied to
the database containing this information and then extracted as needed
to populate the directory database.
The information that appears in the directory is exactly as has been provided
either by information entered into GHRS by the agencies, or by the TSR
requests submitted to Administrative Services by the agencies.
How accurate is the personnel information in the directory?
The agency's Human Resource Officer is responsible for the accuracy and
currency of each state agency employee's record. Each employee also has
a responsibility to notify the agency's Human Resource Officer whenever
a change in name, phone number, or email address occurs.
How accurate is the topical, departmental and non-state
agency employee information in the directory?
The source of topical, departmental and non-state
agency employee information is each agencys responsibility. The
accuracy is dependent upon the effort within each agency to ensure the
currency of this information.
Why aren't all personnel listed in the directory?
Not all personnel have direct phone lines. In addition, agencies determine
who should be listed in the directory for their agencies.
Why are "Division or Bureau", "Title", and email addresses
sometimes missing?
It is the agency's discretion as to what information is entered into these
fields on the GHRS TELE screen. In addition, not all state employees have
a need for an email address.
How do I correct missing or incorrect personnel information?
State employees are encouraged to check the accuracy of their information
and report corrections directly to their agency's Human Resource Officer.
Corrections must be entered into GHRS by the agency.
How can I exclude my name from the directory?
Although the intent of the directory is to provide a complete listing
of state employees, it is recognized there may be extenuating circumstances
that warrant the exclusion of an employee's name from the directory. Please
contact your agency's Human Resource Officer.
Why are there agencies that are not listed in the personnel directory?
Although most agencies are represented, a small number of state agencies
do not currently contribute to the phone directory. In the meantime, you
may wish to call these agencies directly. Reference the "Departmental"
section of the directory for the Department's contact information or contact
Administrative Services at extension 1110 or TELEWEB@admin.state.nh.us
for assistance.
