OCC Mission is to effectively contain costs of representation
for indigent defendants and Guardian Ad Litem services
and to recover all such costs that can
be recovered
| The Office of Cost Containment, generally
called OCC, provides standardization of eligibility & recoupment
in the following areas: |
| Indigent Defense |
Codifies methods for determining indigent defense
liability, determines individual ability to repay
the State for the costs of Court Appointed Counsel,
establishes repayment schedules and seeks legal
enforcement of court orders for repayment. |
| Guardian Ad Litem |
Determines individual ability to repay the State
for the costs of Court Appointed Guardians in custody
cases, establishes repayment schedules and seeks
legal enforcement of court orders for repayment. |
